[ Time to do a little mental screaming. It's a kind thought for Viktor to have, but all the thought of War brings to mind for Inanna is the memory of holding Miles' severed arm in their hands. ]

That's...true... But it's still War. Aren't you bothered by it?

[ It felt strange to think that anyone who loved them for the love and acceptance they offered could be just as accepting of violence and war. ]

[ Viktor rubs at the back of his neck, glancing to the side. He doesn't look uncomfortable though, either by the subject or the person he's sitting next to, more thoughtful and considering than disgusted or rejecting. ]

Mmm ... maybe by war itself? By the fact that war still happens and that people get hurt from it? But I'm not bothered by you being the goddess of it. It actually makes me feel a little better that there's someone looking over it, rather than it being just senseless acts, if that makes sense?

[ Inanna hisses slowly through their teeth and leans back, clearly finding some fault in Viktor's assessment. ]

That...isn't quite how we work. We don't command our domains. I can't make people fall in love or stop wars from happening. I just...guide. I can lend my support and influence to one side or the other, but I can't prevent senseless acts.

Ooh, is that how it works. I guess it's sort of like how religion is back in our own world then, but the gods aren't so evidently present.

[ Viktor leans back into the couch too, still looking relaxed. ]

Still ... even an actually-there, guiding hand is something. I'm not very religious myself, but it makes more sense to me than what's back home.
