[ Viktor makes a little humming sound as he considers the color, putting it back on the rack. ]

Sounds a bit like my coach Yakov actually. But did you improve each time?

[ Adachi looked away at that, a disgusted look on his face, but it was directed at himself rather than Viktor. ]

...I didn't, really. I was too stuck on the fact that I thought my life was over to realize what was happening around me.

[ Viktor pulls out a dark soot gray suit so he misses the look Adachi gives. ]

You thought your life was over?

Mm...

[ Ugh, none of the black suits were in his size. Curse his skinniness; he moved further into the store, trying to find something like it that would hopefully be in his size. ]

I wanted to be a big city detective. I was well on my way... but I made a mistake, and I wasn't talented enough. I got punted to the country and forgotten about.

[ Viktor sorts through the dark gray suits, finding one that looked like it would fit Adachi and following after him to hold up and see. ]

That doesn't sound like your life was over though, and really, not even over. Coldn't you have tried again in another big city?

[ Adachi paused, eyes widening slightly; oh, that was nice. ]

Ah, no, it doesn't work that way in Japan. The NPA controls where police and detectives are assigned. You can put in requests, but...

[ But he had given up. He made a face at himself, shaking his head. ]

I didn't think I was needed, or wanted anywhere else. I was an idiot.

A bit of one, yeah! [ Viktor responds, cheerfully blunt. ]

But here, [ he holds the suit in front of Adachi while he turns him to face one of the mirrors nearby. ] You pair this with a black shirt for a more modern looks to it, and it'll set off the color in your tie too!

Ohhh...

[ That... sounded like it would look hot, even on him. He grinned sheepishly at his reflection in the mirror, reaching to take it. ]

I think I need to find a black shirt then.

I think I saw them on the back rack over there.

[ Adachi gave a nod, heading right for the back to hunt out a shirt in his size. Once he had one, he motioned toward the back, silently letting him know he was heading for the dressing rooms, before zooming off to try it on. ]

[ Hey, it was okay to be excited now, right? ]

[ Viktor barely has time to wave to acknowledge him before he zooms off. He just chuckles, thinking how cute his excitement is.

But it also gives Viktor time to wander over to the ladies department too, getting some ideas for his own date night ... ]

[ Adachi didn't notice, busily pulling on the outfit. It didn't fit quite as well as his usual suit, but again, his usual suit was custom fitted. He was sure he could find someone to make a few quick alterations so it would fit a little better. ]

[ B-but... wow, that was a good look for him. It was kind of a crime noir look almost; kinda slick and sharp. If he actually combed back his hair, it'd be even better. ]

[ He nodded to himself, peering out of the dressing room to see if Viktor was still nearby. ]

[ Somewhat near since the fitting rooms were unisex and centrally located. But ...

If Viktor ... holding up a dress ... to himself? While considering some jewelry?? ]

[ ...what was he...? Adachi shuffled out of the dressing room, trying to get a closer look at what he was doing. Granted, it wasn't the first time he'd seen someone he didn't expect trying to crossdress, it just pissed him off to no end that both of them were very unfairly good at it. ]

[ He folded his arms over his chest, shaking his head and trying to decide if he wanted to speak up, or just enjoy the moment. ]

[ ...nah, he had to be a smart ass. ]

C'mon, if you're going for jewelry, you need something a little bigger than that. Otherwise it's not going to stand out.

[ Viktor tilts his head, considering the earrings he had in hand. ]

Hmmm, you think so? Any bigger and I'll have to get the kind that clip really hard to the earlobes rather than the lighter clips since I don't have pierced ears.

[ Safe to say that Adachi's smart ass moment failed at being asshole-ish. ]

[ Adachi let out a snort, shaking his head. ]

Viktor, what kind of ideas are you trying to get here?

Just some ideas for my date—[ but he cuts himself off there since that's when he looks up to Adachi. ]

Oh, yes! That works very nicely.

[ ...was he seriously going to cross dress on his date? If Katsuki was so similar to him, he could pretty much guarantee that the poor guy's brain would snap the moment he saw that. Though he didn't get the chance to comment on that, as he found himself turning pink at the compliment. ]

A-ah... y-yeah, you called it. This is a pretty good look.

[ Viktor steps forward, reaching to pull a bit at the seams on his shoulders and sides, seeing how it might looks when altered. ]

It doesn't fit as nicely as yours does, but it is from a store, after all. You probably have time to get it fitted. Ah, and adjust the length of the pants too; it shouldn't be too long and have only one break in the crease.

Yeah, I was already thinking that.

[ He totally wasn't smiling because he was liking the attention, what are you talking about. ]

I'm going to get this. [ He paused, raising an eyebrow at the dress. ] ...are you going to try anything on?

Good~ I'm glad you found something you liked.

Ah, not from here. I don't think they'd have anything that would fit me. I got something from New York the other day, but I was just browsing for other ideas. I do the same thing even after I decide the costumes for my programs.

[ Adachi let out a chuckle. ]

All right, all right. Take your time then; I'll probably be a bit getting changed and paying.

[ He moved to go back toward the dressing rooms, before he paused, glancing back at him. ]

...though if a girl's school uniform ever comes across your attention, I am so leaving you here.

Ah? You mean like those Japanese cartoons?

[ The growing smile and thoughtful look in Viktor's eyes probably wasn't a good sign by Adachi's standards. ]

[ No. No it was not! Adachi's eyes widened, before he let out a faint noise. ]

C-c'mon, don't do that to me. I've already seen one way overly charismatic grey haired guy go that route. I don't need to see it again!
